CHECKOUT THE GREEN STRAP OF MY iWATCH

Not long ago, I was gifted an Apple Watch. It looked so beautiful and luxurious.
On the pack were different strap colours displayed. About 8 colours. Everything looked perfect.
Now imagine my disappointment when I opened the sealed box and found, among the regular colours like black, blue and brown...
...green and orange.
Green and orange, gentlemen! ![]()
Who wears green and orange?
It was so alarming, I voiced it out immediately. At the time, I didn't own a single green outfit, so in my mind, that strap had automatically become the most useless item in the box.
Thank God there were other colours to use.
Then, barely a week later, I received two dresses from my sis.
Guess what?
One of them was green.
Not just any green... the exact shade that matched the watch strap almost perfectly.
I stood there laughing at myself.
Just a few days earlier, I had concluded that the green strap would never be useful to me. Yet here it was, becoming my favourite combination.
And then God whispered a lesson to my heart.
Just because you cannot see the usefulness of something today doesn't mean it has no purpose in your tomorrow.
If I had returned the gift—or even insisted on exchanging the green strap because I thought I'd never need it—I would have missed out on something that was already designed to fit a future I hadn't yet seen.
Isn't that how we sometimes treat the promises of God?
We read them. We hear them preached. We quote them.
Yet our present reality makes us wonder, "Lord, when? How? Will this ever happen for me?"
But our inability to see where a promise fits today does not mean it won't fit perfectly into a season that is ahead.
God sees the complete picture.
He knows the dresses that are still being sewn while you're complaining about the green strap.
So don't throw away His promises because they don't seem relevant to your current situation.
Treasure them.
Meditate on them.
Hold on to them.
The package of redemption that Christ secured for us through His death and resurrection is complete. Every promise has its appointed time of manifestation.
Please, be patient.
Wait on the Lord.
He is a faithful Father, and when the time comes, you'll look back and smile at how perfectly He matched the promise to the season.
